Chavaysha Chaney is a dedicated advocate for Wilkinsburg, bringing a deep passion for community-driven leadership and real change. Originally from the Hill District, she understands the challenges and strengths of historically rich neighborhoods and has spent her career making sure that policies and resources truly serve the people they impact.

Chavaysha has worked alongside residents, local leaders, and organizations to push for responsible economic development, better housing policies, access to resources, and investment in essential services. She believes that lasting progress comes from listening, organizing, and taking real action—not just promises.

With years of experience in public policy, community development, and advocacy, she knows how to navigate government systems to get things done. But more importantly, she believes leadership is about being accessible, accountable, and fighting for the best interests of Wilkinsburg’s families.
